You know what I would like? To actually find a foundation that matches my skin.

I've been struggling with this for forever now-- See, my problem is that I live in a small town and I don't have many options for shopping. There's an Ulta shop about a mile from Casey's apartment in Cary, but blah. The last time I went into Ulta they recommended Studio Gear's matte foundation. I absolutely adore my Studio Gear foundation. It's so beautifully matte, lasts 10+ hours, and doesn't feel greasy, but...BUT, it doesn't really match my pale skin. It does match close enough to where it isn't noticeable, thankfully.

Why is it so hard to find makeup for pale skintone, though? I went to Clinique about 2 years ago and the lady matched me with something about 3 shades darker and I looked ridiculous.

After doing some research I decided on the Estée Lauder long-wear foundation because it comes in 30 different shades (and is long lasting like Studio Gear).. So, I went in today and ended up being matched to color #1 titled "bone". In the store the lady assured me that it was perfect. Well, I got out into the sun and it looked orange.

At that point I was ready to give up. It's just so frustrating! Do other pale people have this problem?

la reconquista;

Just downloaded the Sera Myu La Reconquista soundtrack! I loved the music in this musical. There where a few song I didn’t care for, particularly the villains.. But, I never really care for the villain songs. I always skipped them when watching my old Anza VHS’s. Anyway, I’m so glad they kept the same music styling of the older musicals. One of my favorite things as a child was when they would all sing a song and sing the verses over one another. Does that explain it correctly? Either way, I always thought it sounded so beautiful!

And can I just take a minute to say how much I love this cast? They reminded me a lot of the girls they cast in PGSM. And seriously. PGSM is literally my biggest guilty pleasure. I love that silly show with all my heart. I actually started rewatching it last night. The actress for Venus (Shiori Sakata) reminds me a lot of PGSM’s Ayaka Komatsu. In my opinion they have the same kind of voice. I also really loved Satomi Okubo! She was so adorable as Usagi. She wasn’t the strongest singer, but definitely made up for it in charm.

I’m really hopping this musical did good enough for them to do a Kaiteiban within the next few months. Either that or continue with the next season. I mean, everyone seems to love this thing! It would be silly for them to not continue with it, right?

I need these gone! They're just wasting space sitting in my room and I'm planning on moving soon. I'd much rather them be owned by someone who will get some use out of them. EVERYTHING MUST GO! Standard shipping (including tracking number) is $6 when located in the USA. Contact me for overseas prices. All items are in great condition unless otherwise noted. If you are concerned about condition, just ask! I would be happy to provide extra pictures/description! All items come from a smoke-free home and I accept payments through Paypal.

last goodbye;

I've never been a girly girl. Sure, I love the color pink and I love wearing frilly dresses.... But, I've never sat down and planned my wedding. I know so many girls that have everything from their dress style to their theme picked out. Not me. I never even entertained the idea of marriage until I met Casey. Though, it's funny how all that can change so quickly. My grandma, who I love to death, is terribly sick and in the hospital. We thought for the longest time that she would bounce back and recover. But, it's quickly becoming clear that may not happen. The doctors are thinking she had a serious stroke because she can no longer talk or move her body.

While I know everyone probably says this, my nana is literally the best grandma in the world... Loving, understanding, amazingly patient, and has the most infectious smile and laugh. I've always been super close to her. So, it's hard seeing her like this. And it wasn't until yesterday that it hit me: Nana probably wont ever see me get married. In my head, whenever I did think of marriage, I always pictured her there. This realization hit me hard. If I ever did get married, I wanted her to be there. If I ever did have children, I wanted her to be able to hold them. I'm not sure why I'm so upset over an imaginary future.... But, I can't shake this thought out of my head: She might not be able to experience these things with me.

I know I should just be thankful that I have so many great memories with her. It's just, I'm not ready for her to die. I want her to get better. I want her to be there for silly things like marriage. I want her to be there for me.
